Savings Plans are a type of life insurance policy, which provides the combined benefit of insurance coverage and savings. This type of policy is paid out a lump sum amount after a predefined term at which the policy matures. Upon maturity, the insured receives the sum assured plus the bonus for the policy term, if any. And then going forward, the insured is not covered by the policy.
