Some children intuitively pick up the world’s cues, while others experience it through a different rhythm. Recognising these differences early, especially in children on the autism spectrum, helps us build a world where every child feels seen, understood, and supported. This World Autism Awareness Day, let’s pay close attention to these early signs to better understand and support their world. Through Ek Prayas, IDFC FIRST IMPACT is helping make this possible. Since 2019, the programme has been one of the first to bring early intervention to rural Karnataka, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh, where such support was once out of reach. Today, 10 Early Intervention Centers are providing specialised therapies and learning tools, helping over 400 children on the spectrum build essential skills at their own pace. These centers also equip caregivers with guidance and resources, so they can support their child’s growth with confidence.
