Can sport be the spark that changes a girl’s future? With India’s women’s cricket team recently clinching the World Cup, the world witnessed how investing in women in sports can create history. Yet, in many underserved regions, girls continue to navigate systemic barriers, from limited access to education to opportunities for self-expression. For many, even stepping out to play is an act of courage. This is where sport can become a powerful equaliser, by building life skills like discipline, self-worth, and ambition. When paired with structured CSR programmes and support systems such as formal schooling, mentorship, and residential care, access to sport can forge confident young women ready to chase their dreams. We’ve been privileged to see this transformation up close in the past, with one of our partners, Indian Football Foundation through FIRST Foot Forward. Rooted in the shared belief that opportunity belongs to all, ten young girls were equipped with holistic support across education, sport, and residential care, creating a strong foundation for their dreams to thrive.
